"Do You Have a Spatula?"

Spent the day at a highschool debate competition. I was there with about 5 or so of my classmates, all of which (myself included) are semi-slackers trying to make sure we get our 40 required hours of pro-bono work completed so we can graduate. I say only semi-slacking because although we've had 3 years to serve our time, we still had the presence of mind to start cramming in the hours at the beginning of our last semester instead of the end. And that my friends is actually a big accomplishment for me. Just ask my parents about all the trials and tribulations we've been through as far as community service requirements (for school programs, not probation officers, thank you) and the very last minute-turn in the paper the day its due at 5pm even though you've-had-something-like-4 years-to-do-this. It was never pretty.

So anyway, a friend/classmate of mine was returning from judging a session and a highschool girl stops him. She asks "Do you have a spatula?" He (or so I imagine) furrows his brow, turns his head to the side in question, and replies "No". When he gets back to the judge-motherland he expresses his concern that he may not have any idea what the current "hip" (oh my God. I just used "hip" in quotations. I did it again. I am not that old. I am not that old. I have to keep telling myself these things) double, and usually dirty, meanings of common words are any more, and that he's just been asked something in a now foreign language. He has no idea what he answered "No" to, but he can only hope it was the right answer.
We're not that old so we pull up urbandictionary.com on someone's blackberry. Lets just say hilarity ensued and he was glad he said no.
I'm not going to link you to the urbandictionary definition, but you can find it for yourself easy enough if you are genuinely curious.

Or she could have just been asking for a regular-old-spatula. We will never know.
